Party In A Box

The Box that Said, “Yeah! Rah! Go Team!”

Colleges and Universities nationwide adopt an idea built around, and in, a box.

It’s a box that binds people together. And connects them to their alma mater.

The alumni party-in-a-box came along and it caught on like wildfire. It works in various situations – your team is playing in the NCAA basketball finals, for instance. Or it’s football season, you can’t make the actual game, but you love the comradery and spirit of gathering with fellow alums.

An alumni party-in-a-box brings the gang together with the help of a parcel delivery service.

If you’re unfamiliar, it works like this: An alumni office or athletic department sees an event on the calendar where its students and alums will have an interest. Recognizing the far-flung locales of alumni (and even students if the event is during a holiday), the school sets up virtual or satellite parties.

Put it in the box. The university finds a local organizer, then ships them a box full items to make taking the role of local organizer easy and, most of all, fun! The box arrives with university-emblazoned napkins, cups, pennants, table tents and covers, nametags, shirts, university pubs or donor envelopes! In other words, all the elements that brand the event, make it easy and ensure the event is done right. It’s amazing what the humble box can accomplish when school pride is at stake!
