Unique Box Design
When Celine Hakoun received baby clothes from friends and family in Europe, an idea struck. Wouldn’t her American neighbors enjoy receiving the same high quality, comfortable, stylish and practical European clothes she so enjoyed giving her child? Knowing the answer was ‘yes’, she wasted no time and traveled to a Paris show for the opportunity to meet with top children’s clothing designers. She interviewed designers and shared with them the idea behind 3-2-1 Framboise.
The designers loved the subscription model, understood what Celine was looking for and helped design outfit choices that would grow with a child during their first 18 months and offer something new, fun, and age/size appropriate each month. The monthly box showcases the best examples of the best European brands. For Celine, that meant a sense of anticipation and intrigue would be present each month – so she chose a British, contemporary artist, Tom Gallant, to design the 3-2-1 boxes.
Tom’s unique box design offered a modern digitized approach of a retro quilting-stitch look. The boxes have been a hit. Celine says, “I was really impressed by the quality of the BoxUp box. They’re sturdy. They’ll hold up. Also, the process was so simple. I gave the art instructions to Tom and he had no problems.” She adds, “I used the chat feature twice and everyone at BoxUp was nice and helpful.”
